It allows MORe to perform the analyses faster by droping parametric dependencies. This means, that the number of degrees of freedom is reduced during the analysis to the smallest amount necessary. The default setting for the analyses allowing rereduction is true. You can unselect the feature by unticking *rereduce systems*. The following table lists the analyses that support the rereduction feature. =========================== ========== Analysis Physics =========================== ========== Modal analysis Mechanical Stiffness analysis Mechanical Frequency response analysis Mechanical Transient analysis Mechanical =========================== ========== The speedup factor using the rereduction feature is shown in the following table. The times were measured using the the RMT-MORe model which is used in our courses. =========================== =================== ================ ============== Analysis Without rereduction With rereduction Speedup factor =========================== =================== ================ ============== Frequency response analysis 30s 3s 10 Modal analysis 7s 1.5s 4.67 Transient 433.15s 44.5s 10 =========================== =================== ================ ============== This gain in speed, however, has some drawbacks. Parametric dependencies are lost, which means the analyses can only be performed at one specific operational point. Furthermore, no profile evaluation can be performed in the postprocessor. ------------------------- Linearize link properties ------------------------- With the implementation of non-linear link properties MORe is able to simulate effects depending on the state of the links, such as displacement or velocity. This increases the complexity of the system that has to be solved in the analyses. Tick the linearize link properties box to omit the non-linearities in the simulation, which will decrease the simulation time. However, the non-linear effects will not be calculated. ============ Context Menu ============ ------------ Add analysis ------------ Add the selected analysis to the analyses folder.
