I am at inspire AG since 2011 and in 2018 I received my PhD for my contribution to simulation of machine tools. Now I'm leading the MORe team.
Simulation of machine tools is part of my life since 2008, when I tried to use finite element models and modal condensation to model a machine in a semester thesis. From this moment on, I worked towards tools and methods for simulation of machine tools that are really usable in an industrial environment.
In 2010, I implemented my first model reduction method in a further semester thesis and used my own methods to model a machine tool in my master's thesis in 2011. Happy to see that models can be used to match the physical behaviour of machine tools, I also realised that still much work was required to enable simulation for efficient and on-time use in the development process.
For this reason, I devoted my doctoral thesis from 2011 to 2018 to the scientific and technical questions required for efficient and accurate simulation of the dynamics of machine tools, this was the beginning of MORe.
Now, I am passionate to work in a motivated team to discover and establish solutions and services for simulation in the design of machine tools.
